Explore this desirable real estate market situated between Scottsdale and Phoenix, and you will soon discover that Paradise Valley AZ is a community that lives up to its name. The Paradise Valley real estate market has always been one of my favorite core service areas, and for many good reasons. Paradise Valley Arizona homes enjoy a setting that is awash in natural beauty in the shadows of Camelback and Mummy Mountains. This progressive community still boasts neighborhoods with a rural desert demeanor, and many of its neighborhoods contain high-end contemporary luxury estates surrounded by lush lawns, gardens, and luxuriant landscaping. There are many diverse neighborhoods within the self-governed Town of Paradise Valley and a link to the town’s website is provided HERE.

At Home in Paradise Valley, Arizona
Paradise Valley was incorporated in 1961 for the purpose avoiding annexation by Scottsdale and Phoenix. The homeowners were concerned about preserving the quiet lifestyle afforded here, and they are still resolute about protecting the peace and quiet enjoyed here. They decided to keep real estate zoning to a one house per acre minimum and to keep the community almost entirely residential. Shopping and entertainment venues are limited, but big-city excitement and amenities abound in nearby Phoenix and Scottsdale.
Properties range from affordable cottages to luxury mansions. The area was named in 1899 by Frank Conkey, Manager of the Rio Verde Canal Company. When the promoters of the canal project first observed this extensive valley in the early spring, covered with flowers and Palo Verde trees in full blossom, they stated, “This is Paradise Valley.” Over time, small ranches and resorts were built in the area. The southern area of Paradise Valley is home to Camelback Mountain and Echo Canyon Recreational Area where hikers and climbers enjoy fabulous valley views.
