Cactus Corridor West refers to the area west of the 101 Freeway, bounded by Scottsdale Road to the west, Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to the north and Shea Boulevard to the south. This rectangular area of central Scottsdale rests between North Scottsdale and downtown Scottsdale, and is home to several established neighborhoods.
Many of the Cactus Corridor neighborhoods, in general, are well-established and contain homes built primarily between 1970 and 2002. Subdivisions such as Desert Trails and Sundown/Stone Ridge Manor for example, typically offer single-family homes on large lots, and are set back from the street with large front yards. Other neighborhoods such as the golf neighborhood Scottsdale Country Club/Starfire have a range of home sizes, from smaller attached units up to larger single-family three-bedrooms. The Buenavante neighborhood features larger single family homes on larger lots (almost an acre) yet has no HOA. Other subdivisions found within Cactus Corridor West include the McDowell Shadow Estates, Scottsdale Village Estates, Jason Manor, Fox Hollow, Rancho San Carlos, Desert Hills North. All of these neighborhoods share a central location convenient to both the 51 and the 101 freeways.
